Język BeBop jest jednym z najtrwalszych i najwymowniejszych w historii jazzu. Pierwotnie stworzony przez muzyków-amatorów, którzy współpracowali w wolnym czasie, BeBop nie miał być środkiem płatniczym, ale w połowie lat 40. XX wieku wywołał tak wielką burzę, że wkrótce pojawiły się nagrania.
